I am an Assistant Professor at Department of Mathematical Sciences and an affiliated faculty member in Data Science Institute at University of Delaware.
I received my Ph.D. in Applied Math in 2018 and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Engineering Mechanics in 2013, all from Tsinghua University. Before joining UD, I was a visiting assistant professor at Michigan State University from 2018 to 2022, followed by a faculty position at Texas Tech University from 2022 to 2025.
Research Interests
Scientific computing, numerical analysis, multiscale modeling, and data science:
- Machine learning for multiscale modeling
- Network modeling for polymers and architected materials
- Sparse grid methods for high-dimensional PDEs
- High-order numerical schemes for hyperbolic equations
- Lattice Boltzmann methods for fluid simulations
